I'm not a Horror Writer, but I sure would like to be! I AM a huge Horror fan (along with Science Fiction and Fantasy), the likes of HP Lovecraft, Jack Ketchum, Poul Anderson, Arthur C Clarke, Cristopher Priest, Philip K Dick, JRR Tolkien — the "classics" (?).
My wife Whitney IS an aspiring Horror Writer, and the reason we are attending StokerCon this year. In her professional life she does technical writing, but is keen on getting her story ideas down on paper.
