Mike Allen edits and publishes Mythic Delirium Books in Roanoke, Virginia, with his wife Anita and not-so-troublesome cat Pandora. His short stories have been gathered in three collections: UNSEAMING; THE SPIDER TAPESTRIES; and AFTERMATH OF AN INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT; with a fourth, SLOW BURN, now in the works. His first dark fantasy novel, THE BLACK FIRE CONCERTO, appeared in 2013, with his second novel, TRAIL OF SHADOWS, forthcoming from Broken Eye Books. A two-time finalist for the World Fantasy Award and the Shirley Jackson Award, Mike has also been a Nebula Award nominee and a three-time Rhysling Award winner for poetry.
